Annies is owned by Coronation Street actress Jennie Mcalpine and partner Chris Farr, and is located just off St. Ann’s Square in the iconic Royal Exchange building.

It's the perfect setting to eat good old fashioned food and relax in comfort and style. With it’s wooden panelling, comfy armchairs and warm friendly service Annies is designed to make you feel, not as if you are dining in one of the city’s hectic restaurants but, as Jennie & Chris put it, “like you are visiting your favourite Auntie.”

For a business lunch, pre theatre meal or leisurely evening dinner Annies is the place for you. Annies serves traditional food with classics such as Fish & Chips, Lancashire Hotpot and Lamb Shank alongside our selection of steaks and burgers.

Annies also serves Traditional Afternoon Tea, the epitome of elegant dining, our afternoon teas provide a touch of glamour to any occasion. With a selection of delicious sandwiches, a scrumptious scone with jam and clotted cream and a selection of beautiful cakes and of course Tea! Or go that extra mile, and treat yourself to our Champagne Afternoon Tea with a glass of fizz too!

Annies also has a traditional & stylish Private dining room that is available for you and your friends to enjoy a meal, socialise or celebrate that special occasion. Up to 34 guests can dine in privacy and comfort and our event manager will work with you to ensure that you and your guests have everything you need.
